What are the advantages to a cleaning service?

People are often busy and do not have the time or energy to clean their own homes. Cleaning can be overwhelming, especially when you’re literally facing a mountain of a job – things literred on the floor, desks and counters, cobwebs on the ceiling and fans, filmy windows, old newspapers and magazines piled up high everywhere, a sink full of dirty dishes, grimy stove tops, oven and microwave, stained carpet…the list goes on. It’s enough to stop any cleaning enthusiast dead in her tracks. Yolanda’s Maid & Carpet Cleaning will provide you quality cleaning services. We only hire experienced, career-minded, professional housekeepers with reputable backgrounds. Therefore they have a vested interest in providing you with excellent services that keeps you satisfied.

How does Yolanda's Maid & Carpet Cleaning service their work?

Every client’s needs are different, so we will work from your priority list rather than a checklist of standard services. You set the priorities. Before your cleaning crew arrives for each cleaning, you could prepare a priority list of work that you expect to be accomplished. You can always adjust your list to detail any special needs that you would like performed on your next visit.

I notice you provide professional carpet and upholstery cleaning. Do I have to schedule a different day to have my carpet steam clean?

Not at all. You can combine both a house cleaning and carpet cleaning on the same visit saving you time and money.

How often will you clean my home/office?

We offer one-time, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning service. Just let us know what your needs are, and we can customize and prioritize your cleanings.

Do I have to provide you with cleaning supplies?

Not at all. All Yolanda’s Maid & Carpet Cleaning housekeepers carry their own environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and their own equipment.

How will I know I can trust your housekeepers to come into my home?

For security all our house cleaners are REQUIRED to pass a background check prior to being hired. They are fully trained and experienced through video and hands on training, only the professionals who clean your home have access to the keys, and the keys are stored in a doubly-locked box at our offices.

Does anyone need to be present when the cleaning team arrives?

Most people work full-time so you can make arrangements for your cleaning crew to enter your home if you will not be there. However, we recommend you meet your cleaners the first time and after you have established a regular cleaning team, you decide the best arrangements for your personal cleaning needs.

How does the cleaning crew know what needs to be done?

Every client’s needs are different, so your teamm will work form the list you create for them.

Do you require cancellation notice?

If you need to change or cancel a scheduled service, we require one business day’s notice / 24hr notice.

If we find a housekeeper or team that we really like, can we request them again?

The most experienced housekeepers are quickly booked by regular clients. We suggest that you schedule your regular service based on your housekeeper team’s availability.

What if I am not happy with the housekeeper / team that you sent out?

If you are satisfied with the first housekeeper team that we refer and use the service on a regular basis, then he/she becomes your regular housekeeper / team. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied, we will refer a housekeeper/team who better suits your needs for the next service. If you are not happy we want to know so we can make things right.

What about tipping?

We leave that up to you. Tips are always appreciated!

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express for your convenience. Or, if you prefer you can pay your housekeeper with cash or check (some exceptions with paying in check) at the time of your service.

Do I need to do anything before the cleaning?

In order to give you the greatest value, we ask you to take a few minutes the night before to pick up extraneous clothing, toys and other household items.

What if something is damage when my home is cleaned?

In the unlikely event that something should become damaged or broken while we are cleaning, we will make every effort to have the item repaired, or replaced if it cannot be repaired. Insurance claims will be filed when appropriate. We treat your home with considerable care to ensure that accidents do not occur.

How is your billing calculated?

Rates are quoted per person per hour. Typically teams size are 2 or 3 people. We reserve the exclusive right to select the team size based on the cleaning job, schedule and staffing requirements for that day. The team size DOES NOT affect the overall cost as we prorate the billing time and obviously a larger team works faster.

Am I subject to employer responsibilities like worker's compensation, insurance or taxes?

All Yolanda’s Maid & Carpet Cleaning Certified Housekeepers are employed by Yolanda’s Maid & Carpet Cleaning therefore worker’s compensation, insurance, are handled by us.
